Other Area Libraries

New York has many libraries that may help you in your research. Access privileges are listed below, but please check hours before visiting.

  Pink libraries are consortia libraries that NYSID students may check out books from with their NYSID IDs.

  Purple libraries are open to you with a library card from that institution. You can check some materials out with your library card.

  Yellow libraries require an appointment. You may not check out books to take home.

  Blue libraries are not open to the public except with a METRO card. If you need an item that isn’t available at a library you do have access to, a NYSID librarian can issue a METRO card for one of these libraries. You may not check out books to take home.
