Materials Libraries

The library maintains two materials collections, the Mario Buatta Materials Atelier at the main campus and the Ruth and C.J. Trimble Materials Collection at the Graduate Center, which focuses on Sustainable Design. The materials collections provide a wide selection of donated samples for students to use in projects. Samples are donated by showrooms and firms in the New York area, then sorted and organized by library staff. Manufacturer and vendor catalogs for furnishings, lighting, fixtures and hardware are also available in both collections.

For a listing of product literature available in the Mario Buatta Materials Atelier, open this pdf and search inside. The product literature collection at the Mario Buatta Materials Atelier is organized using the Sweets Catalog, an industry standard, available here: http://products.construction.com/
