Auction Catalog Collection

The library’s auction catalog collection is located at the entrance to the Mario Buatta Materials Atelier at the main campus. Although the collection cannot be searched using BobCat, the auction catalogs are organized by category and can be browsed by students and faculty. Auction catalogs are Library Use Only, but are available for scanning or photocopying.


Online Auction Resources

The websites of these major auction houses allow you to search for specific auction information. Sales results can be filtered by medium or type. Check the calendars on each site for previews and other events open to the public.

Artnet is an auction results database. Use it to search for auction listings, images and results in the decorative arts. Results can be browsed by specific eras, styles or pieces.
Available on-campus only.

Domestic Interiors Database
The Arts & Humanities Research Council (UK) created this database to document “the changing appearance and layout of rooms in a range of domestic buildings; the objects that furnished those rooms and the ways rooms and objects were represented; how people used rooms and furnishings; and how they thought about them” in Western Europe & the US since the Renaissance.
